Teenage bedroom ideas are all about individuality. Every teen as their own taste and flair, whether it be feminine and sassy or masculine and jaunty. Teenagers usually have a pretty good idea of what they want in terms of color and style. With some guidance, teens can choose on a color scheme that will serve as an extension to his or her personality and character. A teenage bedroom should be a personal space that is perfect for spending time alone or with friends.
There are numerous color bedroom options to select from. These color options may be soothing or romantic, dark or bright. It is a fact that teenagers love and are attracted to color and they have the tendency to choose bright shades of their favorites but there should be no fear in letting them choose. Some color combinations may seem eccentric or too avant-garde but surprisingly, they do work well together or can be slightly modified to keep everyone happy.
Popular colors among the teens are orange, purple, bright blue, navy and even black. Purple and pink are popular among teenage girls and these colors can be used for romantic or modern pegs. Black pairs beautifully with purple along with white furniture and fabrics and thin, billowy curtains. Pink can be take a step forward and may be negotiated to salmon walls with bright green and sunny yellow accents complete with geometric touches to tone down from being too frilly.
A boy’s room, on the other hand, will be great with neutral colors like beige or warm brown coupled with bright accents like green or blue for a pop of color. Most boys continue to like blue even when they get older so a rich cobalt or navy would be a perfect choice with green and/or brown accents.
Some teenagers might prefer natural, neutral or palter shades for their walls but color can still be mixed into the set with rugs, accessories or fabrics.
A lot of teens love murals as murals are becoming increasingly popular nowadays. These work well on walls painted in lighter shades. The teenager’s tastes should be allowed to shine through. Their choices of geometric shapes, musical instruments, hobbies or the common silhouettes of nature are wonderful selections. After all, teenage bedroom ideas should be based on the persona of the teenagers themselves.
